What We Do

Meetings
The Rotary Club of the Reedy River Greenville meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday's of every month at 6:00pm for traditional meetings for a meal, excellent speakers from the Greenville community and the Rotary World and fellowship. We also meet during the 3rd week of every month for Rotary LIFE events that are focused on socializing, service or the Rotary Foundation.

Community Service
Outside of our meetings, members meet for a large variety of community service events around the area. We complete group projects for organizations such as Mauldin Miracle League, Meals on Wheels, Trees Upstate, Adopt-a-Road and more. We also set up other individual service opportunities with organizations such as The Children's Museum and the Augustine Literacy Project. This is not an exhaustive list of community service opportunities, as the Community Service chair organizes projects based on interests of our members and pressing needs in our community. 

Annual Reedy River Duck Derby
On the first Saturday of May, the Rotary Club of the Reedy River Greenville hosts the annual Reedy River Duck Derby. This is a massive event that is well loved by the community of Greenville. Rubber ducks are raced down the waterfall at Falls Park, where community members hope to win an assortment of prizes. The money raised from this event is given back to the community, in the form of grants totaling up to $80,000, to Greenville nonprofit organizations. 

The Rotary Foundation
In addition to the local opportunities available at the Rotary Club of the Reedy River Greenville, being a member of our club connects you to The Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Foundation is the charitable arm of Rotary, created for humanitarian and educational purposes, which leads our efforts to end polio and promote peace. It also funds service projects and scholarships through its grants and takes on other global initiatives. Members and friends of Rotary support the Foundation’s work through voluntary contributions.
